Cabbage Harvest

This had a double meaning. I had already harvested the cabbage but left the leaves for cabbage white butterflies. The leaves are full of holes from the caterpillars. Its also a statement that we must think twice with everything we do so that we benefit other creatures. When you really look at cabbage leaves you appreciate their glaucousness especially in shade and their vivid green and yellow in sunlight. I tried to capture this. The background was inspired by the red brick of my house and the deep shadow cast in the afternoon sunshine.
